Norma’s is not your average sports club bistro! The space is rustic, elegant, charming and warm, the service is friendly and the food is fresh.
Most of our dishes are freshly made in house. We refuse to be a club bistros that cuts corners and buys everything in pre-made from suppliers. Our team of Chefs are always busy making our desserts, crumbing our chicken snittys, baking the Moussaka, Lasagne and Breads, cooking the Arancini from scratch, preparing and dusting the Calamari, battering the Fish and making our selection of gravies, sauces and condiments.
Norma’s Bistro is family owned and operated by chef Kenny Vandevelde and his partner Heidi with the help of their 4 daughters and the family. Kenny originates from Belgium and is a classically trained Chef. He spent the early years of his career in a Michelin star restaurant in Belgium, moving on to the Park Hyatt and Tatler in Sydney. Kenny then branched out on his own, establishing Coast Bar and then 4 Hands Pizza & Bar on the Central Coast. Heidi has spent many years in the food and wine industry including 25 years marketing the Hunter Valley Wine Region and owning and running boutique hotels.
Kenny and Heidi have a passion for nourishing, fresh food and are also passionate about passing on their knowledge and skills to their young team of chefs and front of house staff.
